New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter takes his pre-game rituals very seriously. In this case, it’s not just a lucky smoothie he’s craving—it’s the man who made it.

Pro hockey star Scott Hunter knows a good thing when he sees it. So, when a smoothie made by juice bar barista Kip Grady precedes Scott breaking his on-ice slump, he’s desperate to recreate the magic...and to get to know the sexy, funny guy behind the counter.

reviewed Game Changer by Rachel Reid (Game Changers, #1)

It's too obviously repackaged Stucky fic

Even as somebody who ships Stucky I felt this book was a bit too obviously repackaged Stucky fic. I wanted more development of the characters and their romance -- there were too many sex scenes that didn't advance characterization, plot, or their relationship, and so felt gratuitous.

I read it after reading Heated Rivalry, and it was clear that the author has improved her craft since publishing Game Changer. The sex scenes in Heated Rivalry moved the plot/characterization along, whereas many of the ones in Game Changer felt kinda plodding.

I'd recommend reading Heated Rivalry first, and if you want more, pick up other books in the series but lower your expectations first.
